Eddy Current Chassis Dynamometer - EC-Series
Eddy Current Chassis Dynamometer
Power Test's EC-Series

eddy current dynamometer

uses air-cooled eddy current load absorbers providing a heavy duty, cost-effective solution without needing to rely on water or a cooling system.

In addition to air-cooled load absorbers, the EC-Series eddy current dynos feature a precision ground heavy duty steel frame, dynamically balanced rollers with proprietary traction sipes, and Power Test's PowerNet CD computerized data acquisition system. The EC-Series eddy current dynamometers are available in both two-absorber, CF22EC-2, and four absorber, CF22EC-4, configurations.

The EC-Series eddy current dynamometer has been designed to fit into most existing chassis pits with minimal or no modifications necessary. The need for cooling towers, pumps, and water treatment is eliminated due to the use of eddy current load absorber. The rigid construction of the EC-Series eddy current dynamometer also allows for above ground installation by using the optional loading ramp and tie down kit. This provides a valuable option for those who are leasing a building or may relocate the eddy current dyno in the future.
