Power Test Promotes Four Team Members

Sussex, Wis., August 31, 2015 – Power Test, manufacturer of dynamometers and equipment testing systems, announced the promotion of four integral team members: Shane Classen, former Technical Service Department Manager; Rich Gottfried, former Field Service Technician; Johannes Strydom, former Project Engineer; and Anna Borkowski, former Sales Coordinator. Each will play a key role in the company’s continued success.

Classen has been promoted to the Senior Project Manager of Power Test’s Design, Construction, and Installation (DCI) division. A veteran of both Power Test and the U.S. Marine Corps, his background with the Marines has provided him with vital operational experience and technical knowledge, as well as important insight into Power Test’s military customers.

“Shane has more than 20 years’ experience operating engine and transmission rebuild teams and overseeing dyno test operations. His directly relevant skills and proven leadership bring tremendous value and confidence to our customers when working through their test cell designs,” said Pat Koppa, President of Power Test.

Taking Classen’s position as Technical Service Department Manager is Gottfried, who has been with Power Test since 2012. His experience with the automotive and motorcycle service industries has given him a deep understanding of technical problem-solving, dynamometer technology, and the importance of exceptional customer service.

“Rich has a rare talent for providing world-class customer service while staying calm, cool, and collected under pressure,” said Jim Spyers-Duran, Power Test’s VP of Operations. “He’ll be an excellent team leader and mentor for our Technical Service department and will always keep the customer’s interests as top priority.”

Strydom is a recent graduate from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), who first interned at Power Test in March and was hired upon graduation in May. With his strong analytical skills, creative problem solving ability, and good interpersonal skills, he was quickly promoted to the Application Engineer position.

“Johannes’ skill as an engineer would impress anyone, but his ability to speak Mandarin, Afrikaans, and English make him a true asset to our efforts in the international market,” said Curtis Knight, VP of Engineering at Power Test.

Borkowski is the new Sales Support Supervisor. She has been with Power Test since May 2013, bringing her customer service and multi-tasking skills with her from previous manufacturing companies. Her attention to detail and drive to assist customers and team members helped her attain her new role.

“Anna’s my right-hand employee. Whether working under tight deadlines or completing difficult tasks, I can always count on her to get her work done well.  In her new role, I’m counting on Anna to develop our strategies and action plans to support our growing sales force and make them as efficient as possible,” Koppa said.

In line with Power Test’s values, each of these team members also has strong commitments to fellow employees, family, community, fitness, and charitable causes.
