Power Test's smoke opacity measurement systems allow monitoring of diesel exhaust systems to determine compliance with regulatory requirements for particulate emissions. The systems may also be used to determine fueling characteristics by observing changes in the density of the exhaust stream. The usage of sensors facilitate proper maintenance for improved fuel economy.
When interfaced with the PowerNet data acquisition and control package, the opacity meters output data and display them alongside engine information.
